Senate confirms: Obama is 44th president

I had to post a link here to the Chicago Tribune:
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/sns-ap-electoral-votes,0,5577886.story

For those who don't want to read the link; the Senate confirmed the Electorial College Vote.

All you yahoo cooks and nut jobs can go away now. It's locked down, baby!

Oh, and in case you're one of those "Obama's not a citizen" whackos:
"Also on Thursday, Supreme Court Justice David Souter rejected an emergency plea to prevent Congress from certifying the electoral vote. It was the latest of at least 8 appeals to the court in recent months — all quickly dismissed — asserting that Obama is ineligible to be president because he is not a "natural-born citizen" as the Constitution requires.

Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961 to an American mother and a Kenyan father. Internet-fueled theories (emphasis mine; there's never been anything BUT these ridiculous theories) contend either that Obama's birth certificate is a fake or he is ineligible because he had dual nationality when he was born. Hawaii officials have said the birth certificate is authentic." (Chicago Tribune)

I hated to interrupt the most recent installment of my current series, but this is news, too!

Can't wait for the inauguration.

Finally the kooks have one less theory to kick around! Though if they're anything like the 9/11 conspiracy theorists, a little thing like the truth won't stop them.

I saw this documentary once about the 9/11 kooks and this lady said the proof that the Towers were professionally demolished is the fact that it takes longer to say "thunkada" (the sound a floor makes collapsing apparently)as many times as there were floors than it took the Towers to actually collapse. Meaning she thinks that by saying "thunkada" a 100+ times you can estimate how long it would take a building the size of the WTC to collapse and since it went much faster than that it must have had help.

Arggh!! Why can't the stupid people just go away!!!

How I wish this would make them all go away, but we have our work cut out for us.

However I have made a promise to myself to take them out one at a time.. (a bat to the head sounds good here but not very practical)....with your help of course :)

I'm definitely not one for conspiracy theories, but I have become very suspicious of anything the Bush administration has told us. (PBS' Frontline did an excellent piece called Cheney's Law-- creepy stuff.)

I watched a documentary on 9/11 called "Loose Change". Altho' I thought a lot of it was doggy doo-doo, some of it was a tad unnerving. Especially the bits about the intelligence Bush 43 and his cronies knew which Clinton briefed them on as he left office.

Someone was definitely asleep at the wheel I think-intentionally or not.

The alternative is equally upsetting-- we had a newly elected president and appointed administration who could give two rats asses about this country and a major threat to its people.
