The proof is in the polling

According to the latest AP-GfK poll (4.16-4.20.09), as reported in Huff Post, President Obama is polling well with a majority of Americans.

Read the full pdf of the original poll here.

Total approval rating: 64%
Total disapproval rating: 30%.

Obama also scored very well in response to the query: "If you had to choose, do you lean more toward approving or disapproving of the way Barack Obama is handling: economy; Iraq; health care; terrorism; the environment; federal budget deficit; energy; taxes; immigration; Afghanistan; relationships with other countries; unemployment; gas prices."

The total percentage of those approving of President Obama's performance on specific issues:
Highest: 69%-- relationships with other countries
Lowest: 47% immigration (disapprove 30%).

Seems like he's doing rather well considering the plate o' shyte he was given upon entering the office just shy of 100 days ago.

Americans in general are pleased with the President.

I couldn't agree more...

You know that Great Sucking Sound is Conservative Talk Radio. I used to think it was NAFTA, but...I love the PIX! I am so going to steal that!

Me too...just did an MSNBC poll that a friend sent to me...the Repubs are obviously flooding it, so even though I sent it on to everyone I know, I think it's a tainted poll. Telephone polls will be more truthful.....

I'm with you. He's doing as good a job as he can given the circumstances.

Gotta love the Republican disconnect with reality. First they try to tell everyone that Obama is failing to do his job and responsible for everything that's falling apart. Then they try to make us believe that his approval ratings are in the toilet. Can they not read? Or do they choose to believe the unscientific polls that allow some troll to vote repeatedly and not the ones done by the folks that know how to do them? That must be it. Everything they see or hear goes through a filter that removes anything doesn't agree with the world view. It's the only explanation. They're all delusional.

Another gem, skye.

Thanks for the link to the poll. It's so helpful to have the original source.

I love that picture!

I'm with True Blue Texan: where are the right wingnuts getting their information? Oh yeah, I forgot. They tend to make it up as they go along.

It's good to be proud of the President again. He's really trying and for once it seems that no matter what they throw at him, it doesn't work.

I'm glad that he came to our resue.

I think he's doing as well as can be expected, really. Anyin who thought he'd come right in and overnight clean up the god-awful mess he was handed is an idiot...oh, but wait! Isn't that one of the many gripes by the right, that he hasn't cleaned up the mess overnight? lol

Love it, the pic, your analysis and our amazing chief executive's incredible first 100 days. Let the naysayers wrap themselves in the flag and Fox News, gnashing teeth, spitting invectives and kicking small furry animals.

In another month or so, Darth Vader will reappear on Fox to bash Obama...the ADHD MSM will cover it before he returns to his bunker.

In the meantime, Barack can ignore them and just keep getting things done.

We had nearly a decade of failure and it nearly killed us. It's going to take time before they realize he's actually only keeping campaign promises, made to a nation that elected him precisely because we want what he offered.

They've forgotten what success looks like. They need time. Some will never come around.

Love the comments, all.

Paul, you are too kind.

It's easy to write about a good man doing good things. And I am so happy to do it!

Thanks!
