It is indeed the holidays, but I refuse to participate this year.
120 students have officially sucked every ounce of x-mas spirit out of me. I have been baking cookies; stockings have been hung; we strung lights on the maple in the front yard (photos forthcoming); we cannot have an indoor tree because our two kitty babies discovered the third dimension we call "up".
So rather than concern myself with the impossible challenge of trying to write something meaningful, I will just say: "Hi. How ya doin'?" and welcome any comments not linked to sex toy sites. Really... I am getting loads of those in the moderation screen; thanks to those who are so thoughtful. Seriously, 40 posts in five months does not warrant such specialized attention... but thanks. Er. Thanks?

What the fuck is *that all about? Sex Toy Links? Wow Teabaggers reach a new low or what? I would think there would be 40 links to sites to save your soul, but instead its to sex toys. Gosh. How the mighty have fallen, and dug a gutter in a ditch and then rolled in it.
Although, now that I think about it. If you see a Sarah Palin shaped Buttplug, maybe you should post that one. I bet Dr Z. could have some fun with that. :) That could make a cute X-mas ornament too.

Not feeling the spirit too much this year either. As I hauled out the 8 big boxes of decorations, I started to feel overwhelmed so I trimmed the tree and hung a few lights outside but the rest of the knick-knacky type stuff is staying in the boxes. Just one more thing to dust, right?
I'm also feeling way behind because even stressed out teachers have started their holiday baking. Way to make this stay at home mom look bad!

Just wanted to say Hi. Hopefully I will have a few posts up over the holidays!
I'm not that interested in Christmas this year. I already got my present... a smart, funny, democratic president and Hillary on the international stage where she belongs, finally allowed to utilize her brain not just her wardrobe.
Now I can relax a little and not be feeling the need to compensate for all that was wrong last Holiday season.
If there ever is a nuclear holocaust, all that will be left are cockroaches and XXX spammers.
The lack of holiday spirit seems to be going around....what's up with that?......post-election let-down? I'm still trying to keep the faith, as things are turning around...........
No holiday this year, no tree, no lights, except the best gift of all...spending 20 days with my precious boys. I don't want to spend any of my time cleaning up and if I didn't put the crap away before I left it would still be here when I got back next fall!!!
