I e-mailed the White House and sent the URL of this video. I don't know if anyone will watch it, but I can say that I tried.
I wonder if the Obama people in the WH understand the correlation between his dropping approval ratings and his wishy-washyness on health care reform? Hopefully the video will clarify :).
It has been an infinitely frustrating few months watching the hot potato with health care reform. I can't decide if I am going to watch the speech tonight, or just read the text... I am not sure how much more disappointment I can take.
When I read this Bill Moyers piece a while ago, I thought it was brilliant...he usually is....and was hoping the same thing, that the White House would read it!!!!!!
I also emailed the White House and my congress people, saying that the ratings were going down because of the disappointed people like us, not just the crazies.....and that we needed the public option to have real reform....that's why we voted them in!!!!!
I will be watching tonight, as I am hoping that he is going to grow a couple and tell it like it is.....why not? He knows what votes he won't have, so what does he have to lose? If this all goes down like I think it will, I want to be there to see it......if it doesn't, I'll still cry.......
On this same subject, I'm off to read a NYT article by Maureen Down that someone sent me.....if it's good I'll post it!!
