Its the stuff from his book, Moral Politics--Its very interesting. And yes, I get it, but that doesn't mean I will ever give *them what they want. I am too independent for that.

Would you recommend his book? I see his name a lot and am interesting in reading more.

Its pretty dry stuff. I liked his other book, Don't Call Think of an Elephant--better. It was all about the issue of how we have allowed *teh crazies to frame the debate. In some ways reading Moral Politics reminded me of reading The Chalice and the Blade. I felt as if he were having to communicate with people who could not understand the concepts of Patriarchy and Paternalism, and how it is expressed through political identity in America right now. I guess for some people this would be a revalation, but for old school feminists--not so much. In fact it may be where he originally encountered the idea. I mean we knew this wayyyyyy back in the 60s. :)

I am trying to get together a reading list for when I get a couple of weeks off in May. The only things I have time to read these days are the tortured English compositions of undergrads and graduate students.
